# Teleteens

> Teleteens is a highly customizable Telegram filter for grown-up teens and adults, with a particular focus on filtering sexual content. Your Telegram, your rules: a full filtered Telegram client — same phone number, same chats, but with your rules applied. A family-first Telegram filter, just as useful for adults who want distance from their own distractions. Made by Ori, building filtering apps since 2020.

## Philosophy

- **Tools, not judgment.** Teleteens will never tell you what is bad or good. You set the rules, not us — every family draws the line somewhere different, and the app respects that.
- **Whitelist, not blacklist.** Most filters allow everything except what's been blocked; that can't keep up — Telegram is infinite, new groups and channels appear every day. Teleteens flips it: everything is blocked except what you explicitly open.
- **For people managing themselves.** Not every user is a kid. Self-locks let an adult put a rule on themselves — lock yourself out of a chat, a channel, or all of Telegram — with no backdoor until the timer runs out.

## The app

One app: the **Teleteens client** — a full filtered Telegram client for **Android, iOS, and Windows**. Same phone number, same chats, with your rules applied. It binds itself to one specific Telegram account on one specific device; signing in with a different account is refused.

How it works: 1) install the Teleteens client, 2) configure rules, whitelists, parents and self-locks at teleteens.co, 3) enjoy a filtered Telegram that matches the rules you set.

## What you can do

- Chat filter: block the chats you don't want, allow the ones you do — full control over every conversation.
- Whitelist mode: only the chats and channels you list are open.
- Approval requests: kids ask for a new chat or channel with one tap; you accept or deny instantly, from anywhere.
- AI parent: like a human parent, but you pick the personality — approves, denies, nudges based on rules you set.
- Self-lock by timer: dangerous requests (like opening all chats) take hours or days to approve; safe requests are approved instantly.
- Self-lock by GPS: rules change by location — focus at home, freedom outside, or the other way around.
- Night mode and Morning mode: stricter rules after bedtime, a clean focused window for school hours.
- Device & account lock: the filter is locked to the identity you approved.
- Guild: community-powered filtering — share the whitelist work; run the guild as a dictatorship, a democracy, whatever fits your group. Nothing is accepted unless it passes a vote.
- Cloud sync: rules, whitelists and history live in the cloud; install on a new device, log in, everything's there.

## Pricing

Teleteens isn't free — one Premium subscription ($1.84/month) unlocks the clients that actually run the filter: the Android client and the Windows client. **iOS is free — no subscription needed.** During pre-release even Android and Windows are free. Premium is bought from the dashboard and applied per person. Cancel any time, no contracts.

## Key facts (from the FAQ)

- For teens and above; not built for small kids.
- Manage everything from the web dashboard in any browser; only the filtered phone runs Teleteens.
- Up to 99 kids per account; a kid has one human parent, and can also have an AI parent. You can be both a kid and a parent at the same time.
- Privacy: filtering happens on-device — messages never leave the phone via Teleteens. Only your settings and whitelist are stored. No selling or sharing data. Deleting your account deletes your data.
- The VPN app blocks installing the regular Telegram and other unfiltered chat apps, so Teleteens is the only Telegram client on the device; once set, no other VPN can run.
- Works in private chats. Doesn't work offline (nothing to filter). Light on battery.
- Difference from other Telegram wrappers: most use blacklists and slick-but-limiting interfaces; Teleteens is whitelist-first with bulk control.
